RP targets Latin America for new handicrafts market
07/12/2007 Exporters are hoping to develop new markets in South America by bringing the country’s best products in that part of the world for the first time during the 35th House and Gift Fair in Brazil next month. The delegation will participate in the trade show that will be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from August 18 to 21. Along with the Philippine Chamber of Handicraft Industries (PCHI), joining the Philippine delegation are the Abeeba Corp. (handmade home décor, fashion accessories), Ethnic Ventures Inc. (arts and craft items, fashion accessories), Gaddang Philippines Inc. (fiberglass lightings as home accessories), Ian International (picture frames, pens, curtains, polished shells), L & G Ceramics (red and white clay vases), Lutana International (houseware, fashion accessories), SKM Artcraft Corp. (houseware items made of metal/glass), Stoneworld Impex Inc. (home décor and accent furniture), and Topmark Interiors & Novelties (sculptured wall décor/ hangings, figurines). South America plays an excellent market for doing business because of its 13 countries with over 370 million population and a GDP of roughly $1.5 trillion. Ayen Infante Back to top
