Cebu Pacific ranked fifth among Asia’s budget airlines

11/17/2008

Budget airline firm Cebu Pacific (CEB) was named by a leading online travel magazine, Smart Travel Asia (www.smarttravelasia.com), as one of Asia’s Top 10 budget airlines.

Smart Travel Asia, in a recently concluded survey titled ‘Best in Travel Poll’ on the low cost carriers between May and July 2008, rated the budget airlines on ticket prices, schedule reliability, quality of service, route network and access.

“This is a result of Cebu Pacific’s continued focus on offering the newest planes and best travel packages to its passengers. We will continue to offer the lowest fares and provide a great value service to the Filipinos and foreign travelers in the region,” Candice Iyog, CEB vice president for marketing and distribution, said.

CEB ranked fifth in the Top Ten Best poll, up one rank from the same survey last year.

Among CEB’s innovative product features include prepaid excess baggage, seat selection, On-Board eats, On-Board buys, and the recent ‘Go Lite’ fares availed by passengers taking the flight without check-in bags.

CEB has the youngest aircraft fleet in the Philippines and operates four operational hubs across the archipelago, namely Manila, Cebu, Davao and Clark. It flies to 27 domestic routes and 15 international destinations counting Osaka, Japan.
