3 Pinay climbers ready to conquer Mt. Everest

04/22/2007

On the outside, Carina Dayondon, Noelle Wenceslao and Janet Belarmino look like ordinary women. On the inside, however, they are something else. The three women are part of the First Philippine Mt. Everest Expedition (FPMEE) and these “iron ladies” are on a mission: To climb the highest mountain on Earth.

As members of the First Pinay Everest Team, the three climbers will show the world they have the willpower, the guts and the agility to succeed. Aside from their backpacks and equipment, they carry the country’s hopes and dreams. And at every step of the way, they will be aided by Iberet Active — the official multivitamin supplement of the Pinay Everest Team.

Formed about 60 million years ago, Everest was named after Sir George Everest, the British surveyor-general of India who first recorded the height and location of the mountain in 1865. In Nepal, the mountain is named “Sagarmatha” which means “goddess of the sky.” Tibetans refer to it as “Chomolungma” or the “mother goddess of the universe.”

This reverence is well-deserved since Everest is the world’s highest mountain with a height of over 29,000 feet, rising a few millimeters each year due to geological forces. Its treacherous slopes, icy weather and thin oxygen are a challenge to every climber who must learn to live with danger at every corner. Avalanches are the highest cause of death at Everest that has claimed 46 lives in Nepal alone.

Over 120 corpses remain in Everest to date.

To accomplish their daunting task, the brave Pinay climbers will need the right amount of patience, perseverance, oxygen and iron. While iron is the most abundant element on earth and dietary iron requirements are low, many active women lack this important mineral. Without iron, you’re likely to suffer from paleness, headaches, fatigue, weakness, poor concentration and performance, among others.

Iberet Active is the “Oxygen Optimizer” since it contains the right amount of iron that carries life-giving oxygen to all parts of the body where and when it’s needed. This results in improved muscle performance, more energy and increased levels of awareness and concentration to help active women cope with the daily challenges of life.

To help you get more out of life, Iberet Active also has vitamin B complex for proper cell formation, energy, enhanced metabolism and healthy skin, hair and eyes; and vitamin C for a strong immune system and protection against disease.

As the challenge nears, the three women are not worried for they have become the new symbols of courage and strength thanks to Iberet Active — the leading multivitamin supplement that will help you get more out of life.
