Meralco Development Center: A dream wedding destination
07/08/2007 A once-in-a-lifetime dream wedding is possible, the couple just have to make sure that a thousand or more things to do are executed properly, orderly and timely. That may be easy to say, but with all the errands needed to be accomplished, they may settle for something less and make their dream wedding just a wishful dream. Nowadays, with a myriad of services available, couples have come closer to achieving their dream wedding. They all realized that the first step into accomplishing their goal was to choose an ideal location for their wedding and reception. “We realized that the choice for the venue of our reception would have a major impact on our wedding. It was really confusing because you have a lot of things in your mind. It is a long process and until the last minute, I was thinking of the program and the souvenirs,” said Juwella Arias-Samaco, who tied the knot last May with husband Jacob at the Meralco Development Center (MMLDC). Newlywed Imelda Lamigan-Kalingart has nice words to say about MMLDC: “Thankfully, the venue that we chose impressed the guests when they arrived so that’s a good sign already. They were surprised that MMLDC is a very unique venue that is very different from the usual ballrooms or halls. After they left, they were raving about the venue, food, ambience, among others.” Since MMLDC is formerly a fruit farm, the green environment was retained and the ambience exudes a calming effect, making the center an ideal venue for garden weddings and outdoor events. Though she hired a professional wedding coordinator, Marita Valenzuela-Sleep said she appreciated the extra touches that the MMLDC staff extended to her group. “I will always recall the friendliness of the staff. They also gave some suggestions on how my wedding reception can become more memorable. It was their willingness to go an extra mile that made my wedding extra special,” Marita said. On the other hand, it is also MMLDC’s choice of partners that makes for a dream wedding. For one, they are the best in the industry and have a proven track record for excellence and professionalism. In the field of catering to wedding receptions, Hizon’s Catering Services, The Manila Catering, Eliseus’ Cuisine and VS&F Classic Food International, Dexter’s Bakeshop, Bernie Pasamba Music, Flowers & Events, Sound Force, Streetline Bridal Cars, Balay Kandila, Ariel Javelosa Photography, Jun Valbuena Photography, and Andre Photography have all partnered with MMLDC to make the couple’s dream wedding come true. “We have a very good relationship with MMLDC because they coordinate with us very well. Since they require a high standard, we are likewise encouraged to do our best and serve the tastiest culinary creations to the couple and their guests,” Raymond David, marketing manager of Hizon’s Catering, said. With this, couples who have experienced the MMLDC brand have always said they would recommend the center to those who are planning to tie the knot, believing MMLDC is the ideal venue to host that dream wedding that love-struck couples have wished for a long time.
