White Tea generation

07/08/2007

Wellness is becoming a hot trend among Filipinos. Tea is now a necessity in our grocery list. It’s the right drink for an active lifestyle, amid the rise of gyms and wellness programs.

Many people say bottled iced tea has replaced cola as the most popular drink for various reasons. Aside from wide campaigns set out for bottled iced tea in the past two years, health has become its powerful niche. We all know green tea has both sweetness and the right nutrients like antioxidants that fight cancer. But we didn’t have better options than green tea until white tea came.

White tea is today’s most popular tea in China because it’s got better taste and more nutrients. One White Tea, in fact, was recently launched to bring the best tea drink to the country.

Like most kinds of tea, white tea also comes from the bush of Camilla Sinensis Plant. The main difference would be the production process. It’s not like black tea — a result of fermentation — and green tea, which is not fermented at all.

“White tea is rarer than any other tea,” Joseph Consul, Zesto Corp. senior brand manager, said.

For healthy-conscious Filipinos, studies show that white tea has more polyphenols than any kind of tea. These antioxidants prevent cells that cause cancer.

In 2004, Pace University (USA) studies concluded that white tea helps the body’s immune system fight off viruses and infection-causing bacteria. It’s also rich in fluoride, preventing causes of tooth decay like dental plaque.

From the producers of One Iced Tea, One White Tea comes in three thirst-quenching flavors—Apple Cooler, Citrus Blast and Peach Passion. You’ll have it all—taste, variety, nutrients and the value for money. Get the white One!

One White Tea drinks are available nationwide at supermarkets and convenience stores in 355-ml and 500-ml bottles.
