Hitachi gears students toward environmental awareness

10/21/2007

Hitachi Global Storage Technologies’ (Hitachi GST) Laguna-based hard drive manufacturing facility has teamed up with Our Lourdes Elementary School for an Environmental Education and Awareness Project.

Led by Hitachi GST’s facilities project and environment engineer, Grace Dulay, 50 students from the school participated in various discussions on waste management, including solid waste, air emissions and water discharge. The project aims to involve students in maintaining the well-being of the environment not only for themselves, but for future generations as well.
