OB to reach tribes of Palawan
04/27/2008 As a way of showing its commitment in reaching out to the most neglected and economically disadvantaged people groups in the Philippines and living the Filipino “bayanihan” spirit, Operation Blessing Foundation-Philippines (OB) will mobilize its way to the mountains of Palawan to give assistance to the locals. On April 28 to May 3, OB, CBN Asia’s humanitarian arm, will visit the Tao’t Bato tribe of Palawan. OB volunteers such as medical professionals, social workers and support staff will hike an eight-hour trail to the tribe’s community to provide free medical, dental, optical and surgical treatment. The team will also bring much-needed healthcare attention to the Ugis tribe and the inmates of Iwahig Penal Colony. OB will be giving away medicines, used clothes, slippers, toys and biscuits for children and Bibles. To be a part of reaching out to the locals of Palawan, log on to www.obphil.com or call (02) 812-0581 or 812-0592. Back to top
