Peak Juice is good for call center worker

07/06/2008

Thousands of Filipino young adults work in call centers in the Greater Manila Area and young as they are, they complain of work-related stress.

Headaches, heartbum and fatigue are a regular part of a call center agent’s life. These body aches are compounded by the fact that these professionals further engage in unhealthy activities.

Marianne Santos, 28, who works the night shift in a call center talks of practicing poor health behaviors among her and her peers. “As we have to stay awake, we eat a lot of junk food, drink a lot of coffee and carbonated drinks. When someone among us celebrates birthday or anniversary, we celebrate when we’re off work which is usually at breakfast time but it is not breakfast that we take but unhealthy party food like sisig, chicharon and booze and we smoke excessively to keep ourselves awake,” she said.

Marianne knows all these frenetic activities can lead to illnesses primarily coronary heart disease. “I know chronic stress can affect my health especially my heart and somehow I have to start trying to be healthy. Lately, I have tried to squeeze in an exercise regimen and I try my best to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I have cut down my intake of rice and meat and have stopped drinking carbonated drinks. I now drink a healthy juice called Peak.”

Manufactured by Sydenham Laboratories Inc., Peak is a 3-in-1 drink for stress, energy and memory for the modern individual who is constantly besieged by stress. L-carnitine is an animo acid which helps burn fat faster for more energy. It also helps relieve physical and mental fatigue, strengthens immune cells and sharpens cognitive abilities. Its taurine content helps support mental and visual development.
