Food firm champions child development in CSR program

Leading meat processing firm CDO-Foodsphere Inc. has strengthened the focus of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program on child development, with the launching of a groundbreaking educational television show called Batang Bibbo!

Known for its supplemental feeding program that has helped nourish more than 5,000 previously undernourished kids in poor areas in Metro Manila, CDO-Foodsphere is producing a TV program, this time to feed the mind of Filipino children with knowledge and proper values.

Batang Bibbo! is a weekly 30-minute interactive show is specifically designed for Filipino children with ages three to six years. It is aired over GMA 7 every Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

The lively show will follow a curricular, designed by educational experts that will concentrate on Filipino language development and social interaction. This pioneering show seeks to boost the proper use of Filipino language in conversation and in learning.

The show chronicles the adventures of boy and girl hand puppets Bi and Bo in a learning place called Bibbolandia, as they seek answers, uncover new worlds, unlock mysteries and discover their abilities.

The show is guaranteed to appeal to pres-school kids as well as to older children because of its masterful mix of puppetry, live action, animation, artistic graphics, special effects and wonderful storytelling.

A live-action character called Ate Anne will accompany Bi and Bo as their coach on their interesting adventures. She provides discipline, guidance, stability and knowledge that Bi and Bo need in their new discoveries.

The informative show aims to enhance the holistic development of the children, who are expected to learn lessons on honesty, courtesy, respect and other positive values.
