The Subdivision and Housing Developers Association (SHDA), in partnership with key housing agencies that include the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC), Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund), Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB), National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC), will be holding the 2012 National Housing Convention at Davao’s Marco Polo Hotel from Sept. 27 to 28.
This year’s convention will see the launch of the housing industry roadmap, followed by discussions pertaining to its impact on the industry as it assists developers in crafting their strategies in cooperation with all the concerned government agencies and private partner institutions.
Leaders of the country’s housing agencies will gather to discuss industry projections that go all the way to 2030.
Led by HUDCC chairman and Vice President Jejomar Binay and chairman of the Senate committee on local government Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., the event will see a presentation of the analysis of data that led to the formulation of the roadmap.
The symposium continues the success of last year’s convention, which saw government agencies forging partnerships and committing cooperation to streamline the issuance of licenses and permits, addressing bottlenecks in processing housing delivery, and revising implementing rules for areas such as socialized housing compliance.
