Century Properties, Trump brothers hint new project

Century Properties Group Inc. and Trump brothers hinted that they may have another project together after their collaboration on Trump Tower Manila.
During the press conference for the groundbreaking of ceremonies for Trump Tower Manila, Trump vice president for acquisition Donald Trump Jr. said the Trump Tower “will not be the last project in the Philippines.”
“It’s really a joyous occasion for all of us to be here. We love everything we’re bringing into the market. And based on the conversation we had, this will not be the last project in the Philippines. We’re looking forward to rolling out a couple of (things). No pressure guys,” he said.
Real estate business magnate Donald Trump said in a video message as he was unable to attend the ground breaking ceremonies,” the Philippines “is a great place, I love the Philippines and I love what we’re doing in Trump Tower Manila. It’s going to be something special. Trump Tower will be something very special like no one has seen before.”
Meanwhile, Century Properties Group, Inc. chairman Jose EB Antonio said they are very selective of the projects. He said they make sure of the quality they deliver and said  they hope to do more projects with the Trumps in the future.
“We are very choosy, we are very selective in the type of developments we do. We like to develop projects with quality. We’re looking to doing great projects and hopefully to do some more with the Trumps,” he said.
Eric Trump, who is also Trump’s vice president for acquisition, said they chose the Philippines as the first Southeast Asian country to have their brand as the country emerged to have a want to love in luxury and has also come forth to be an international destination.
“When you look at this project (Trump Tower Manila), the people want luxury. They want to live in the most luxurious property, they want to have the best amenities, they want the best services. The brand drives everything, the quality drives everything. The people expect a market that is doing as well as the Philippines is in Asia, becoming such an international destination of the world and it really fits our brand perfectly. This is the best product in the world that’s going to be in Manila,” he said.
Donald Trump Jr. added that they are excited to bring their brand in the Philippines. “The Philippines, the country that’s done so well as of late and taking their high end real estate experience to levels that have never been done before. Demographics are there, money is there, people travel all over the world start to understand brand, quality, construction. And when it came for us to do the project, we partnered with the people who can really deliver the brand,” he said.
The Trump Tower Manila, situated in the 3.4-hectare development in Makati, broke ground yesterday and is touted to become the tallest building in the country when completed, even surpassing Century’s other project, the Gramercy Residences.
“Quoting Donald Trump: ‘I like thinking big. I always have. If you’re going to think anyway, might as well think big.’ Trump Tower is set to be the most important tower in Manila. With Gramercy having the highest tower status… Trump Tower, our third project, will surely surpass this,” he said.
This note was seconded by Eric Trump noting that the Trump Tower is a building that will be tallest in the Philippines. “The building that has just uncompromised when it comes to amenities…Pool on the 38th floor, libraries… architecture is absolutely stunning…We look forward to be here for years to come as we watch this building to come up from the ground,” he added.
In terms of the market of the luxury projects of Century Properties, managing director and Trump Tower Manila project head Robbie Antonio said they have sold about 70 percent of the 220 total units of the tower and they are expecting to sell more with the formal launch of its showroom driven by buyers “more of a need than want” demand.
He noted that they have three various market segments. The first are local buyers who invest as investors who buy in presales, the second are end users, and the third are foreigners mostly from
Singapore, the Middle East, and the US from roadshows. He added that their OFWs also buy across of all our projects, and a few of them buy our luxury projects.
The Trump Organization has more than 70 acquired projects, owned or branded, built or under construction worldwide, ranging from residential condominiums, golf courses and mixed-use properties.
Trump Tower Manila is a $150-million (P6-billion) luxury residential skyscraper to be built by Century Properties’ unit, Century City Development Corp., having the brand name and mark under license from Donald Trump. It will have over 220 units priced “competitively,” featuring suites at approximately 57 sqm (613 square feet) and 1 to 4-bedrooms and penthouses at approximately 425 sqm (4,574 square feet).
