Nokia wins Red Dot Design Awards
Nokia has made waves in the design community by not just producing innovative products but also putting a lot of thought on unique and imaginative design over the years. This year, Nokia once again sets the bar in product design by winning the prestigious Red Dot Design Award for different products. The Red Dot Design Award is an international product design prize awarded since 1955 by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany. This year’s competition received 4,662 entries in 19 different categories.
Lumia 820 is a winner because the design combines principles that include commitment to purity and attention to detail. It was praised by the design awards jury for taking the pure color story and giving it a burst of playfulness. The JBL PlayUp builds on the design of the award-winning Nokia Play 360 Wireless Speaker, making a statement with its vivid colors and bold shape. Often times people with authority grand stand even if their plan is half cooked, just for the sake, they did something about it and if it does not work, they simply point the finger to the fall guy. How could the authorities come up with these bright ideas and the people who advise the authorities, who say they care about the safety of riders. If safety is the priority then they should think way hard for the safety of motorists from 2-4-6 wheels and the more with 18-wheelers before they even start suggesting their, so-called bright ideas.
The designated motorcycle blue lane for C5 road is the right outmost lane the authorities call 1st lane (since they count starting from the right and not from the left). First and foremost that is the lane designated for PUVs for loading and unloading. Second, that is the lane for motorist to exit C5 or vice-versa. Third, that is the lane where people coming from establishments back up their vehicle after they are done with transactions. Fourth, the designated truck lane is right beside the motorcycle lane (truck lane based on Tollways), and lastly why would 2-wheel riders be banned inside the tunnel and flyovers. The reason why motorists with 2-wheels opted for this type of vehicle….it’s simple, affordable very economical and can avoid traffic.
The key would be basic education and road courtesy for drivers and implementation of the law. How? I am no expert…just plain common sense.
