Noynoy called on the new Chief Justice, Lourdes Sereno, to “restore” people’s trust in the judiciary and ensure a fair justice system, apart from telling her to stand her ground in the face of odds, since she has the nation behind her.
Noynoy is really out of touch with reality, as certainly, Sereno does not have the country, or even the nation’s full backing.
He called on her to restore the people’s trust in the judiciary, but how can she do that when she is generally perceived to be the grand puppet of Noynoy?
Noynoy didn’t like the former Chief Justice Renato Corona because he claimed he was the protector of Gloria Arroyo. What does that make of Sereno, as his appointed CJ? Her decisions speak of her protection of Noynoy and his kin.
There were many other candidates in the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) list of eight, who were certainly qualified for the high judicial post, and who certainly fared a lot better in the psychological-psychiatric test for a candidates’ fitness and from the results of this test, she flunked it, and with her reported mood swings, which may tend to bipolarism, logically it can be said that she is unfit for the post of chief justice.
But Lady Gaga as usual claimed that the leaked report is unverified, therefore, since the sources of the report have not verified it, she won’t comment on it and besides, there has not been any official statement from the JBC.
Boy, Lady Gaga does it again and again. Her logic is for the baboons.
In the first place, that was a confidential report that was leaked to a reporter who then wrote up the story. This having been leaked, Lady Gaga said that this is not a verified report, especially as there has been no official statement from the JBC. Good grief! Jose Mejia, a JBC member claimed Sereno did not flunk the test, but he is not the JBC and he is expected to deny that. Why then then does he not disclose the real score, if as claimed, she had passed the test? Interestingly, Sereno has admitted yelling at the other justices in en banc sessions. That already tends to prove the psychiatrc test saying that she has mood swings, which tend to display a bipolar nature.
What seems clear is that she is unfit to take on the high post, and worse, the frigging allies of Noynoy in the JBC are as much as a puppet as Sereno is.
As for his call to Sereno to ensure a “fair justice system,” what does Noynoy really mean by that, because it is no secret that whenever a high court ruling is unfavorable to him and his administration, he does not deem such Supreme Court rulings to be fair.
As things stand, there a grave doubts that no demoralization exists in the high court and the entire judiciary.
How can there not be, considering that Noynoy bypassed the more senior justices with the appointment of Sereno, who moreover, has such a divisive personality and worse, she never even had any administrative skills, or for that matter, any court experience, having been a law professor, apart from being a government-researcher lawyer in the international arbitration courts where she earned $25 million, which she obviously did not declare in her statement of assets, liabilities and networth (SALn).
What sayeth Lady Gaga about this verified report, backed by documents, copies of which are with Congress? Sereno never bothered to comment on this Tribune report.
And Noynoy says she is fit for the job; that she is transparent and independent?
Sure, all of Noynoy’s yellow allies, whether in business, in his Cabinet and in Congress will all praise his choice of Sereno to high heavens — because that is their job to lick presidential ass, just as they have been doing in the past, under previous administrations.
But what cannot be denied is that while Noynoy blasted Corona for having been appointed by the previous president and found every fault in the Corona court’s decisions as unfair and protective of Gloria Arroyo, just what does he think he did, if not appoint an unfit Chief Justice who is moreover, his puppet, to do what he wills.
After all, Noynoy and Sereno are two peas in a psychological pod.
