The Philippine Center for Print Excellence (PCPE) Foundation recently led a delegation of more than 50 Filipino printers and suppliers to visit the world’s biggest printing expo, Drupa at Dusseldorf, Germany.
“We are proud that we organized the biggest Philippine delegation to Drupa this year,” said Aris del Mundo, PCPE Foundation Drupa 2012 Chairman. “All printers should be given equal access to business opportunities overseas, that’s why we organize official visiting delegations to international trade shows and build working relationships with foreign partners.”
The country’s leaders in printing and graphic arts were granted a private audience with the Philippine Ambassador to Germany Maria Cleofe Natividad and event organizer, Messe Dusseldorf Executive Vice President Hans Werner Reinhard, with the help of leading exhibit and conference organizer, Global-Link MP Events International and Worldwide Exhibitions Linkage (WE-Link) Services.
Despite her busy schedule, Natividad personally visited the two Philippine exhibitors, Great Wall Machinery and Manufacturing Philippines and Lexus King General Machinery, as well as the Heidelberg hall.
“Through the leadership and dynamism of its president Samuel Uy, I am very confident that PCPE will continue to be a leader in delivering new technologies, techniques and products to raise the quality and standards of the Philippine printing industry,” Natividad said.
During the fair, the PCPE Foundation also met with Alex Lee, Executive Director of the Selangor & Federal Territory Chinese Printing Presses’ Association (SFTCPPA) to partner with for upcoming activities in store this year, notably the Tomas Pinpin Philippine Print Awards.
These activities are in anticipation of the country’s biggest and No. 1 nationwide printing technology shows, Print & Label Philippines Exhibition Series, the International Printing & Label Machinery, Paper & Paper Products, Graphic Communications, Digital Imaging Equipment, Pre-Press Solutions, Accessories & Services Exhibition & Conference where PCPEF has been working hand-in-hand with, Global-Link MP: Print & Label Cebu (July 19-21 at Waterfront Hotel in Lahug), Print & Label Manila (October 10-13 at SMX Convention Center) and Print & Label Davao (November 29-December 2 at the newly constructed SMX Davao Convention Center). For more details, call Global-Link MP at 750-8589 to 92 and look for Liza Mara, Assistant General Manager.
“Thank you to everyone for making our Drupa the best we have yet to experience,” remarked Samuel Uy, PCPE Foundation President. “We’ll be back in Germany in 2016!”
The Philippine Center For Print Excellence (PCPE) Foundation Inc. was established by some of the country’s leading printing and graphic arts practitioners and suppliers committed to give back to their trade. Registered and approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) since February 2002, the PCPE Foundation recently re-launched itself as a foundation due to strong industry clamor. As advocates of “Xcellence in Print Development,” members and supporters firmly believe in offering the highest possible quality goods and services. It is their pursuit of print industry excellence that fuels the foundation to actively undertake various activities to elevate the local printing industry to a globally competitive standard.
