Budget travel just got better with the opening of Tune Hotels in the country

This year has seen the opening of a number of Tune Hotels in the Philippines.
Tune Hotels, a global branded value hotel chain, continues to expand in the country with the opening of a hotel in Ermita, Manila. This Tune Hotel has 10 floors, 167 rooms, 119 of which are Double Rooms (inclusive of two wheelchair-friendly Double Rooms) and 48 of which are Twin Rooms.
The hotel invites guests to experience its comfortable new rooms for amazingly low prices.  Mark Lankester, Tune Hotels Group CEO, told local press that Tune Hotels continue to expand in the Philippines, as marked by the opening this year alone of Tune Hotels in Angeles City, Cebu City, Manila and Makati.
Tune Hotels, he said, are designed “to cater to the needs of not only leisure but business travelers both from within and inbound to the country.”
Tune Hotels is known in the industry for having pioneered a branded value hotel brand with the concept of pay-as-you-use that has become hugely popular among travelers from across the world.
Under the concept, guests only pay for room rates with the option of adding on other amenities like towels and toiletries, air-conditioning, in-room Wifi and satellite TV service at selected hotels.
Rooms, as well, are clean and, while utilitarian, can boast of good quality. At Tune Hotels, Lankester adds, one can be assured of very comfortable beds, a good-sized bathroom with rainshower and even a hairdryer. After all, he says, travelers usually just need a nice, safe place to sleep and shower when they are either on business or visiting as a tourist.
Tune Hotels is part of Tune Group, a lifestyle business conglomerate co-founded by Tan Sri Tony Fernandes and Dato’ Kamarudin Meranun, who are the group CEO and deputy group CEO, respectively, of Asia’s largest low-cost carrier AirAsia.
Tune Hotels currently has under its umbrella 11 hotels in Malaysia, two in Bali, Indonesia, two in London, England, three in The Philippines and two in Thailand.
Hotels in Malaysia are located in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, KLIA-LCCT Airport, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Johor Bahru, Kota Damansara, Bintulu, Kota Bharu, Kulim and more recently Ipoh.
In the UK, Tune Hotels are located in Westminster, Liverpool Street and Paddington. Opening soon is Tune Hotel Kings Cross on July 9.
The first Tune Hotel in Jakarta opens in Pasar Baru on July 12.
