Greatest cake artists face-off
The Ultimate Cake Off returns for another scrumptious season with host George Duran, as a new team of cake artists go head to head in competition to build the ultimate cake. Each week, three renowned cake decorators lead their teams to build the most daring of cakes in just nine hours. Ultimate Cake Off  2 premieres on TLC every Wednesday at 7 p.m., starting Aug. 29. It encores every Thursday at 10 a.m. and the following Wednesday at 1 p.m.

Life’s too short
He’s a self-aggrandizing actor who’s appeared in some of Hollywood’s biggest hits. But now his career is on the wane, and he’ll do anything to reverse his fortunes. From Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, Life’s Too Short is a faux documentary starring Warwick Davis (Harry Potter and Star Wars films) as a fictionalized version of himself: a little person who’s down on his luck, desperately trying to hustle and connive his way back into the spotlight. The comedy series kicks off its seven-episode season Monday, Sept. 3 at 10 p.m., exclusively on HBO. Brand new episodes air weekly at the same time.

Grimm season 2 returns
Jack TV’s hit fantasy drama series Grimm returns with more stories to tell this August in the new timeslot of Mondays at 9 p.m. Season premiered last night, Aug. 20. Picking up where Season 1 left off, Nick (David Giuntoli) finds himself having to deal with the return of his thought to be dead mother as well as worrying over his hospitalized girlfriend Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch). Lying in a mysteriously-induced coma, Rosalee (Bree Turner) and Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) work tirelessly looking for a mystical remedy to wake Juliette. Meanwhile, his partner Hank (Russel Hornsby) traumatized by the sight of seeing a supernatural creature, struggles with trying to live a normal life as his mind continues to be haunted by the beast he saw.

A paternity issue and a potential divorce are some of the issues that highlight the lives of the Kardashians, as they return for Season 7 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, premiering on Aug. 28, every Tuesday, at 9 p.m., exclusively on E! The latest season also gives viewers a peek on the entrepreneurial side of Kourtney and Khloe as they make plans for their Dash boutique in Calabasas.
