In Quezon City, Mayor Herbert “Bistek” Bautista filed his CoC as official candidate for the city’s top post of LP in the 2013 elections.
Bautista, who will run for a second term as mayor, was accompanied by his running mate Vice Mayor Josefina “Joy” Belmonte and QC-LP candidates for city councilor and congressmen of Districts 1 to 6.
Bautista’s team trooped to the Comelec office at the QC Hall compound around 10:30 a.m.
In District 1, Bautista’s bets for ouncilors are re-electionists Ricardo “RJ” Belmonte, Dorothy “Doray” Delarmente and Alexis “Alex” Herrera, ex-Councilor Victor “Jun” Ferrer Jr. and neophytes Erlinda “Linda Madrilejo and Lena “Mayen” Penson Juico.
Number 1 Councilor Francisco “Boy” Calalay will run as congressman in the District 1.
Incumbent Reps. Winnie Castelo, Jorge “Bolet” Banal Jr. and House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. will run as representatives of District 2, District 3 and District 4, respectively.
Actor Alfredo Paolo “Alfred” Vargas III, incumbent councilor of District 2, will run as congressman for the newly created District 5 while Christopher “Kit” Belmonte will be running as congressman in District 6.
Among the candidates for councilor of District II are Roderick Paulate, Mari Grace “Precious” Hipolito-Castelo, Ranulfo “Rannie” Ludovica, Voltaire Godofredo “Bong” Liban III, Ramon “Toto” Medalla and Estrella Valmocina.
Incumbent Councilors Jaime “Jimmy” Borres, Julian Coseteng, Allan Benedict Reyes, Gian Sotto and Eufemio “Pinggoy” Lagumbay will be the candidates of the administration party in QC’s District 3.
District 4 candidates include Raquel Malangen, Jessica Castelo Daza, Jesus Manuel “Bong” Suntay, Vincent Belmonte, Marvin Rillo and Bayani Hipol.
Godofredo “Godie|” Liban II, Julienne Alyson Rae “Aly” Medina, Carlito “Lito” Bernardino and Karl Edgar Cupino-Castelo are among the District 5 candidates for councilors.
Marivic Co-Pilar, Eden Delilah “Candy” Medina, Diorella Maria “Lala” Sotto, Melencio “Bobby” Castelo, Rogelio “Roger 1” Pabaya Juan and Donato “Donnie” Matias complete the Liberal Party line-up of councilors for District 6.
