The day started at Harbor Square CCP complex in Pasay City for the Suzuki Nex115 Fuel Efficiency Run. After a full breakfast, the participants for the Efficiency Run were briefed by the Officials from Suzuki and all Suzuki Nex115 scooters were prepared for the run with fuel filled, tires inflated to factory specs and with all participants geared up for safety in Suzuki full face helmets, riding jackets and pants provided by Suzuki Philippines Inc. All was good to go with a slow start after all it was a fuel efficiency run, with the five riders who participated, three were from the Motoring media and two from team Suzuki. The route was to reach Thunderbird resort in Rizal province by noontime. The road plan was to pass through Macapagal highway, the domestic road area then through C5 till the area of Libis passing through Marcos Highway, up Antipolo City then down to Taytay connecting to Angono then finally up to the final destination for the first half.
Upon reaching the first half destination, all Suzuki Nex115 scooters were inspected by Suzuki Officials for safety reasons and to log odometer readings. After another heavy meal it was time to head for Harbor Square CCP complex in Pasay City as the finale, which was accomplished hours before sundown. Upon reaching the destination, the fuel was again measured and was logged. Aside from the name the height and weight of each participant was logged in too.
The 2012 Suzuki Nex115 scooter available in three colors like brilliant white, pearl flash green and pearl sakura pink was nimble to handle on stretches and turns, very easy to manoeuver in terms of lane splitting, comfortable to seat on and most of all it had a fuel consumption range from 56-54 kilometers to a liter with a mix of light to moderate till heavy traffic situations, uphill and downhill driving and a few stretches of clear thoroughfares. It was a good combination of actual driving on public roads and with no simulation but just real time riding.
