With cars like these, drivers tend to forget their problems and body pains. The refreshed 2012 Mercedes Benz C200 tested did just that to this writer. It was a car to be driven and even at extra-legal speeds this vehicle behaved so much like a gentleman, it made this writer drive like a Pro with alphabetical order safety aids as standard equipment.
Inside the bonnet of the 2012 Mercedes Benz C200 is a 1796cc Turbo blue efficient 4-inline petrol engine that could deliver a lusty maximum output of 135kw/5250rpm linked to a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual mode. The all-wheel disc brake system can put this vehicle to a halt.
Seated on the driver seat one would feel the soft but firm leather seat that would catch you like a glove on every turn, tackled. The instrument panel could provide the information required, including the added information from the center monitor. The dual zone air-conditioning system with front and rear air vents could cool the cabin effortlessly with the right temperature setting while the entertainment system wired to speakers that could produce more than listening pleasure, caught this writers attention, particularly on the door mounted speakers angled a bit forward and downward. All passengers have headrests and 3 point seatbelts with more than front airbags as standard feature.
The 3 pointed star on the front grille is a sign of German engineering at its finest, that is why people who buy this brand knows what to expect.
