The Stella, most of the time, is called a mistress by its owners, simply because, you will fall in love with her. As this writer was handed the key to the long term Genuine Scooter Stella 150 test unit with fuel filled to the brim, from no less than the Cool Boss of 2211WORKS Mr. Pedro Miguel Oca, the journey had just begun.

After a few words regarding the Stella 150 features from Mr. Simon Barcelon, this writer was good to go and to brave the heavy downpour from the habagat rain. All geared up, ignition on, clutch lever grasped, push button start and of to the streets with auto headlight on.
Having the gear and clutch lever on the left side of the handle bar, was all new to this writer, well for the simple reason most motorcycles tested had the gear lever selected by the left foot, whether in full manual or semi-automatic and for scooters with just a twist and go feature. So since this was all totally new, after a few hours of riding, shifting gears using the left hand was made easy with the dog leg type clutch lever that’s available as an option. The advantage with the dog leg type clutch lever, first the shape of the lever was easier to grasp, especially with riders with small hands and it had a wheel adjuster to fine tune the required distance of the clutch play, which was ideal during bumper to bumper traffic but shifting from gear to gear, the rider needs to select with just the right twist or sometimes it might skip the next gear.
The attention and respect from other motorists and pedestrians, the Stella 150 aura, boasts while riding on the road and can be habit forming. In one incident, as this writer halted in an intersection controlled by a Traffic Enforcer, the occupants of a vehicle from the right side, took some photos of the Stella 150 while in traffic, well this was around 1500hrs and this writer was not sure if the Stella 150 reminded them of a Pizza brand that delivers, using a similar looking scooter.
As a daily ride with fuel prices on the rise, the Stella 150 is a great alternative to beat the high fuel price. For the next report, this writer will have another accessory for the Stella 150 and more riding impressions.
