Quirino employees to undergo drug test

Quirino Gov. Junie Evangelista Cua has ordered a drug test on all his employees after the Philippine National Police disclosed that at least 12 of them were regular customers of two recently arrested drug pushers.
Cua said the revelation by Senior Supt. Domingo Lucas, Quirino  police director, could not just be debunked without any action since it put to doubt the possibility of achieving his administration’s goals of a drug-free Quirino if some of his men were themselves drug dependents hooked on shabu.
“Although the degree of drug abuse in Quirino is not as grave as in other provinces in the country, we still have to conduct this random drug test on our employees to ensure that they are really fit to serve our constituents,” he said.
