With San Beda College’s bid for the solo lead scuttled following the postponement of its game the other day, the chance to wrest the solo lead now shifts to University of Perpetual Help System Dalta which plays Jose Rizal University in the resumption of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament at the Arena in San Juan City.
The Altas, in a tie on top with the Red Lions with a 4-1 record, meet the Heavy Bombers at 6 p.m. as they try to extend their winning run to three games that will give them the solo leadership.
San Sebastian College also sets out today seeking to keep its hot streak going as it takes on Lyceum of the Philippines University in the first game at 4 p.m.
The Altas capped their win streak with an 84-64 thumping of College of Saint Benilde last Thursday, and are thus fancied to prevail over the Heavy Bombers, who are still reeling from a 78-101 loss to the Stags.
