Lim, 51

Basketball tournament organizer Jose Ma. Vicente "Joey" Gana Lim IV has passed away due to cardiac arrest last Sunday.
The elder brother of former Philippine Sports Commission member and former badminton star Amparo “Weena” Lim  was 51.
His wake will be on Friday and Saturday at the Mt. Carmel Church, New Manila.
The eldest of five siblings,  Joey is survived by his parents, Jose "Dondo" III and Remedios. His siblings are Eduardo, Vicente, Alejandro and Weena.         
Joey is best remembered for his tireless and diligent efforts in organizing tournaments and in communicating with officials of participating on schedules and other matters concerning the tournaments he was involved with.
Lim had worked for the Philippine Basketball League until around 2010.
For the last five years since 2007, Lim devoted most of his weekends to the Fr. Martin Cup, a preseason tournament for varsity teams in the collegiate, women and high school levels.
Last year, he also made time to help out in the FilOil-Flying V preseason cagefest.
