Festival time

The BGC community presented its biggest, grandest celebration, “Season of Passions” as a way to cap off another great year. The simultaneous events kicked off with the annual city fiesta called Passionfest, alongside the BGC Arts Center Festival’s “Champions of Passion” from November 24 to 26.

What follows are a slew of Christmas surprises from November 29 to December 25, and an exhilarating welcome to 2018 with a New Year’s Countdown on December 31.
Recognizing the vibrant global community, Passionfest 2017 was themed “FestivALL in Seasons,” where summer, winter, fall and spring were celebrated along the whole stretch of Bonifacio High Street.
The Summer block (starting at 11th Avenue) — offered games and loads of other activities. Soulful performances were the focus at the Winter block (9th Avenue). With everything around us changing, celebrating new shapes, new colors and new life by learning crafts for Holiday gifting was at the Fall block (7th Avenue). And, like a whiff of fresh air, visitors were energized and joined fitness playoffs, as well as sampled what’s cooking by exploring new dishes and gourmet finds at the Spring block (BHS Central) from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Happening simultaneously with the Passionfest was the BGC Arts Center Festival with the theme “Champions of Passion: Soulful Feats of Art.” Activities for that weekend included an array of plays, dance, musicals, improvs, workshops and music from various artistic productions, as well as an Art Tour to visit this year’s newest Art BGC Murals.
The BGC Art Mart at the Alveo Central Plaza featured products of many of our local artists.
BGC Arts Center is located at 26th Street corner 9th Avenue.
