Weekend getaways have become more exciting as properties have opened wellness and lifestyle developments for their visitors. Aside from envisioning a whole new community within the city, it is also part of their masterplan to create an estate that seamlessly blends business and leisure together.
Here are two destinations for those seeking a quick respite a drive away from the city:

Nuvali, Santa Rosa, Laguna
Just an hour away from Metro Manila, Nuvali located in Santa Rosa, Laguna, offers a holistic staycation for people who seek a quiet weekend. This mixed use development is Ayala Land’s largest integrated eco-community with over 6,000 residents living in 21 residential subdivisions and a population of 1,200 students.
One of the estate’s nature attraction is Camp N, a premier incubation camp for learning. Through their Outbound Transform programs, which come in three categories (Team Dynamics, Organizational Dynamics and Mentorship), a participant who undergoes these trainings are most likely to be more creative, open and responsible.
Also within Nuvali is Ayala Malls Solenad, the city’s retail and lifestyle hub. The mall establishment, with a size of 40,000 sqm, is home to 300 shopping, dining and entertainment choices. You can roam around boutiques, restaurants, stroll along the outdoor playground or kill time at the S&R Membership Shopping. Nuvali is also the home of the first QualiMed hospital in Southern Luzon, a 100-bed capacity building that practices inpatient and outpatient services.
You can also head over to Greens and Patches, a tree nursery and demo farm where everyone is welcome to reflect and recharge by surrounding themselves with lush greens and open spaces.
Cap off your night by checking in at Seda Hotel in Nuvali. The hotel is a recipient of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and Urban Land Institute Philippines’ Healthy Places Award, signifying that the its design and amenities are in line with the international standards for sustainability.
To get to Nuvali, take any of the five South Luzon Express Way (SLEX) exits at Mamplasan, Sta. Rosa, Eton-Greenfield, Silangan and Canlubang. Nuvali is also easily accessible via public vehicles and P2P from major centers such as Makati, Bonifacio Global City and Balibago.

Filinvest Mimosa, Clark
Another leisure destination has opened its prime location at the Clark Freeport Zone.
Filinvest Mimosa+, formerly known as Mimosa Leisure Estate, is a new lifestyle hub that coexists with mother nature as it features functional green spaces like nature parks, safe and wide pedestrian paths and biking zones. At the heart of the area is the beautifully landscaped Acacia Park, which serves as a nature sanctuary for residents and guests.
Filinvest Mimosa+ also features a 150-hectare Mimosa Golf Course, which has played host to a number of prestigious tournaments already. With no membership required, the golf course has maintained a strong base of returning guests.
To further make everyone’s stay an enjoyable one, a Mimosa+ lifestyle mall is underway that will host Nuvali’s shopping, dining and events activities. After a long day take your well-deserved rest at Nuvali’s Quest Hotel and Conference Center. It has 303 guestrooms with the famous Mequeni Restaurant, Charley’s Bar, a fitness center and a swimming pool.
Quest Hotel has recently opened two luxury Grand Villas that offers three bedrooms each, with a pool, living room, dining room and a kitchen. Further adding to the hotel’s list of amenities is the Executive Lounge located on the topmost floor. This new addition offers a stunning 360 degree view of the mountain ranges in the area.
Quest Hotel and Conference Center is open to do business meetings, trainings, seminars, exhibits, conferences, expos, birthdays or weddings. Not long ago, they hosted meetings and seminars for the recently concluded Asean Summit.
“We are excited to be part of the vast Filinvest Mimosa+ Leisure City, with its massive development that brings a lot of promise,” says general manager Patrick Beck. “It will surely be a major hub for business, investment, and tourism in Clark.”
