The One That Got Away premieres on GMA 7

By Pauline Songco, Staff Writer

Have you ever fallen in love with three beautiful and smart women? Dennis Trillo's character, Liam Ilustre, at GMA 7's upcoming show The One That Got Away, would be able to say yes, and as gentlemanly as he is described, he will tell you that those relationships did not happen at the same time.
They say that getting over an old love is not easy, but how did Liam Ilustre do it?
Dennis jokingly said, "Kailangan parang sobrang perfect mo na para pag-agawan ka nung tatlong girls (You need to be perfect for such three girls to fight over you)."
William Dominic "Liam" Ilustre or the ex-boyfriend of Alex, Darcy and Zoe played by Lovi Poe, Max Collins and Rhian Ramos, respectively, is a handsome, loving and smart man. He owns and manages an organic farm and dreams of having a big, happy family.
"Sa tingin nila ako ‘yung ideal and matinong boyfriend. 'Yung role ko rito is ‘yung guy na tipong gusto mo talagang ipakilala sa mga magulang mo (For them, Liam is the ideal and proper boyfriend. He's the type that you would want to introduce to your parents)," Dennis presumed.
The One That Got Away is a sexy, romantic comedy series that is sure to send viewers into a frenzy over its craziness, intriguing storyline (three beautiful women who have the same ex-boyfriend meet and they all happen to still be in love with him), powerful characters and lovable antics.
"May konting sexy, for mature audiences. Parang Sex in the City pero mas batang audience. Mas feel-good (It has a bit of sexiness to it for mature audiences. Like Sex in the City. but for young audiences)," he shared.
He is equally happy to be given another show by GMA. While he is known for his fantasy roles, Dennis insists that he exerted the same effort for The One That Got Away. "Si Rhian and Lovi nakatrabaho ko na sila sa pelikula. Si Max first time pa lang. Alam ko nagkasama kami sa Bubble Gang. Nakakatuwa yung mga characters nila -- iba't ibang klaseng mga babae so iba't ibang eksena. Bawat isa sa kanila may personality (I worked with Rhian and Lovi before for a movie. This is my first time working with Max, but I knew that we worked before for Bubble Gang. I'm happy because their characters have different personalities so it's fun to have different scenes with them as well)," he said.
"Nakaka-intimidate sila kasi ang gaganda nila and ang sexy. Tatlong pinaka-magagandang artista sa GMA kasama ko ngayon sa isang show. Mas ma-effort para pumantay sa kanila kasi kapag tinignan mo sila, para silang mga Victoria's Secret models (It's kind of intimidating because they are all beautiful and sexy. They are three of the most beautiful celebrities of GMA so I have to double my efforts to be in the same level as them)."
When the characters of the show are presented their second chances, will they finally get to understand what love is all along?
"Bawa't relasyon nararanasan naman 'yan. Meron tayong natututunan from that. Masasabi ko lang na treasure lahat ng moments and experiences. Kasi bihira lang 'yun dumating kaya kailangan pahalagahan dahil baka hindi na bumalik ‘yung pagkakataon (Relationships experience hardships. That's why you have to treasure all the moments because someday you won't be able to grab the same chances)," Dennis advised.
The One That Got Away is a product of the creative minds of Angeli "Geng" Delgado (concept creator), Palanca awardee Renei Dimla (head writer); under the tutelage of the creative team headed by Roy Iglesias (creative director), Agnes Gagelonia-Uligan (senior creative consultant), under the capable supervision of the production team of GMA Entertainment Content Group headed by Ms. Lilybeth G. Rasonable (SVP for ECG), Ms. Redgie Magno (VP for Drama), Ms. Cheryl Ching-Sy (AVP for Drama), Hazel Felizmenia Abonita (senior program manager) and Michelle Borja (executive producer).
Catch the show, which is under the direction of Mark dela Cruz with Conrado Peru, beginning January 15, right after Kambal Karibal on GMA Telebabad.
