Telecom trade festival at Greenhills

Some 1,500 reputable small and medium Filipino entrepreneurs (entre-pinoy) nationwide are expected to participate in the 16th Telecommunication & Accessories Bazaar and 5th Philippine Crafts Fair which will open on June 12 at the exhibition hall of the Greenhills Shopping Center in San Juan City. Considered as the biggest teleco trade show of the year, the 24-day exhibit and sale festival will offer cheaply priced world-class quality products of small and medium size enterprises from the 18 regions of the country. On display and sale will be the most modern and advanced telecommunication items such as cellular phones and accessories and related services. There is also an array of ancestral, tribal, antique, modern, American, Oriental, turn-of-the-century furniture and furnishings and home decors including artworks, paintings, sculpture pieces, relics, ancestral jewelry and gemstones, potteries, ceramics, lamps, chandeliers, porcelain, jars, wooden and ivory Christian icons, among other things. As an added highlight, there will likewise be an exhibit and sale of RTWs and garments, leather goods and merchandize, Philippine sweets and delicacies, fashion accessories, toys, footwares, handicrafts, woodcrafts, wrought iron, collectibles, corporate giveaways, sporting goods, house wares and decors, pets and animals and exotic flora and fauna. According to Henry Babiera, the dean of Philippine trade exhibitions and president of the sponsoring Prime Asia Trade Planners and Convention Organizer or Patepco, the holding of this trade festival is in support of the President Arroyo’s SME development program that aims to uplift the business condition of all small and medium entrepreneurs in the country and generate more jobs for the Filipinos. The trade exhibit ends July 6.
