Aguirre to NBI: Probe QC fiscal’s slay

Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II has ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to probe the killing of a Quezon City prosecutor who was gunned down by unidentified suspects along a major highway before dawn yesterday.
According to reports, Quezon City Prosecutor Noel Mingoa was shot dead in front of a restaurant along Commonwealth Avenue in Barangay Old Balara, Quezon City by unidentified gunmen who got off a black vehicle at 1:20 a.m. Mingoa was reportedly talking on his mobile phone when shot repeatedly by the gunmen.
In a text message, Aguirre said Mingoa, whom he described as “a very good man and a very competent litigator,” was one of his associate lawyers in private practice before the latter became a prosecutor.
“I already asked the NBI to conduct an investigation and apprehend the perpetrator/s of this heinous crime,” Aguirre said.
Asked if the Quezon City prosecutor’s killing was a retaliation to the Duterte administration’s war on drugs, Aguirre said he had yet to find out. Mingoa was the second prosecutor killed three months after Mati City Prosecutor Rolando Acido was gunned down by two motorcycle riders last October 26. Julius Leonen

I am against this killing, but how could he be a good and descent man and procecutor at that when he is in the road at 1:20am? What was he doing? I bet he came from the bar and massage parlor!
