07/16/2008 SAN DIEGO — Forty one Filipino jungolfers bannered by the multi-titled Dottie Ardina kick off their respective bids Tuesday (Wednesday Manila time) in the 40th edition of the Callaway Junior World Championships in various around the coastal state A talent-laden contingent formed by the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines will be eyeing 12 age-group titles against more than a thousand other entries from 40 countries. It will be the 14-year-old Ardina who is expected to once again seriously challenge for a third championship in seven tries, barely missing it last year when she lost by one to Argentine Victoria Tanco. “I’ve had very good scores in practice, so I think I’m ready for the challenge,” said Ardina, one of the four ICTSI scholars at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy.
