Janice’s books out soon
07/16/2008 A new, informational book about the sport of wushu will be out in the market within the week. Titled “Tai Ji Quan” and “Tai-Ji Jian,” the two books is written by Dr. Ding Bao Yu, professor in the Beijing Sports University, with Filipino wushu bet stunner Janice Hung acting as model for most of the glossy, paperback’s instructional part. It will have a formal book launching on July 20, 6 p.m. at the Powerbooks of Greenbelt 4 mall in Makati. Hung, the national Tai Ji champion from 2005-07 and former medal winner in the Southeast Asian Games, personally promoted the book in yesterday’s PSA Forum at the Shakey’s UN Avenue branch. “It’s a good book for everybody, male and female, young and old alike. It teaches the basic skills of Taichi and the right positioning of the hands, head, feet and others when you’re into the sport of wushu,” said Hung, also a popular commercial model, in the session sponsored by Shakey’s, Accel, Brickroad gym and Aspen spa and MedCentral Medical Clinic and Diagnostic Center.
