Stockinger conducts tests for Formula BMW Europe

07/18/2008

Rookie Cup runner-up Marlon Stockinger, impressed with what he saw in different race tracks in Switzerland and Spain during his break from Formula BMW Pacific Series, will return to action this weekend at the Sentul race in Indonesia.

It will afford him a chance to gain more experiences on another track in preparation for his new rounds of exclusive Education and Coaching program for junior drivers.

Stockinger also had a trial session with Italian Team Euro International in a race track in Belgium and was impressed to see that the youngsters managed to place within the top ten throughout the test session.

Formula BMW Europe is considered to be the most competitive series between Asia-Pacific, The Americas and Europe.

“Spa is one of the most exciting and famous tracks in the world,” says Stockinger. “It’s up and down with several hundred meters of altitude difference. When you go up the infamous ‘Eau Rouge’ curve, you shoot up into the sky and then dive down into an extremely fast left hander. You experience horizontal as well as vertical down forces all the time. It’s the most exciting roller coaster I know!”
